I like how you connected the lines “Have the strength to force the moment to its crisis” to the Wall Street crisis in 2008. I have heard of the crisis before, but never thought of it in terms of Prufrock’s lovesong. I believe that it is a very contemporary way of thinking about the poem. Also, how you thought of “riding on the waves” as New Yorkers trying to survive the city is relatable. As college students, we all have busy lives. Sometimes it can be very frustrating just like this line in the poem.
