I felt like this video was representative of the modern version of marriage fraud, somewhere outside of India.
In Giribala, fake marriage was exploited to turn girls into prostitutes; nowadays, it is used to attain appropriate status or visa in certain countries.
Why fine and punish the victims, instead of the perpetrators?

Wow. This was a powerful video in terms of how marriage fraud ruined the lives of these people. I feel pretty sorry for the unfortunate circumstances that befell these victims. Being betrayed by someone you love is absolutely devastating and this video was a real eye opener for me. I just can’t help but think how cruel some people are when it comes to something as intimate as marriage. This just shocks the conscience…
