Introducing Myself

Hello my name is Elwin, I’m from Queens, New York. I enjoy most sports but mostly Basketball and football. I attended Thomas Edison High school in Jamaica where i was studying computer networking, but that got boring so I decided not to go down that path. My intended major is finance here at Baruch and I hope to have a career involving finance. I really like learning about history and I think that history has a big impact in people’s lives. By learning about the past, you can see the mistakes that people have made and the successes they have accomplished and utilize them in your life or career to make the right decisions.

Introducing Myself

Hello my name is Stefano Ornato and I’m from Huntington, New York.I play Tennis and I used to Fence.I have an interest in marketing but I am not completely sure that I want to major in it. Studying history could be very useful in my future career because people have been selling and trading products for a large portion of history and throughout each period of time the way products are marketed to others has evolved. It would be useful to analyze all the different strategies people used throughout history to make people want to buy or trade with them and determine which ones were the most effective.

Introducing Myself

Hey Guys. I’m Daniel Matatov and I was born and raised in forest hills, queens. Im from a Jewish family with my parents coming from Uzbekistan and Kyrgyztan. My intended major is Finance but, if it gets boring, I’ll switch to Real Estate. I know if I graduate with a Finance degree, my world of opportunity would grow. But, Im not sure how it will turn out so Im going to have to see. History plays a vital role when it comes to business because countries, governments, and people learn from past experiences, failures, and successes. centuries before, generations after generations would create businesses, financial institutions, and organizations all revolving around money and were constantly being improved. Our economic policies today are based on our country’s past experiences with the economy. I am extremely excited to one day contribute to the business world.

Introducing Myself

Hello, my name is Jamie Wang. I was born and raised in Brooklyn. I attended Brooklyn Technical High School and I am thinking of majoring in business management or international business. I believe that studying history can be useful in my future career in that it can help by familiarizing myself with different cultures and their practices. Each culture has their unique way of doing things and by understanding this, I can better situate any business conducted if I choose to do international business. Also, by studying history, I can better understand past mistakes that have been made and learn from these mistakes as I develop myself in the business world.

Introducing Myself

Hello, my name is Yahya Sheikh. I attended New Hyde Park Memorial High School and live in Long Island. I’m at Baruch to study accounting but that will change. I’ve started becoming interested in medicine and I believe that this is something I want to pursue. Studying history is important and essential in creating change and practicing medicine. A way to find cure for a disease is to learn about it’s origins, and learning about the origins can help one deal with patients. I look forward to learning about  history so that I can help many patients in the future.

Introducing myself

My name is Rodrigo Lopez and I reside in Brooklyn. I was born in Peru but then moved to New York just around the age of 2. I attended Fort Hamilton High School and feel as if I am one of the very few who really made it to Baruch. I made my decision to attend Baruch as soon as I received the acceptance letter because I wanted to learn more about business and it was only right to go to Baruch plus I didn’t believe I would be accepted. Studying history is key for the present and future because by understanding someone’s misfortune or success can also help you evolve an idea which failed or possibly better it. At the end of the day you don’t want history to repeat itself especially on your terms.

Introducing

Hey guys, my name is Haitham Khan. I recently moved to Long Island but previously I lived in Queens. I attended Brooklyn Technical High School where I majored in Law (for some odd reason my high school had majors, I don’t understand why). Although I found law very interesting, my interest has shifted to Finance/Marketing which is why I decided to attend Baruch. I think history is going to be very important to my future career path because by analyzing the past and trends that existed then, I can use that to my advantage and make better decisions about what may and may not work in terms of marketing and advertisement. I look forward to learning more about history so I can continue to develop my understanding of how people have been receptive to certain marketing tactics, strategies and trends in the past.

Intro

My name is Melisa Purisic.

I was born and raised in Brooklyn, and my parents are originally from Montenegro. I previously attended Midwood High School. I came to Baruch because it’s obviously known for its outstanding business school and I want to major in accounting or some type of business management. History can be useful for my future career because studying history teaches you how to analyze and interpret different situations. It can also be useful because I can study the history of different businesses and companies and figure out why they succeeded or failed, and use that knowledge and apply it to my career.

I also like to listen to music and I listen to anything from rap to country.  I chose to come to Baruch because I want to major in finance and I thought that Baruch would give me a good education. Introducing Myself

Hello my name is Shalom Ngalaba. I live in Queens, New York but I was originally born in the east African country of Tanzania. My dad works in the UN and that’s why we moved here back in 2002. I want to earn a degree in Business Management by the time I graduate from Baruch. History is a subject that is worth studying because it holds significance in life as a whole. We are where we are only because of our awareness of where we came from and accomplishments we are proud of or regret. I don’t think this will change moving forward.
