Earth Day Alert: Climate Change in Latin America and the Caribbean
In honor of Earth Day, ISLA has partnered with Baruch’s Environmental Science faculty (ENV) in the Department of Natural Sciences (WSAS) and the Baruch Climate Scholars Program to have a conversation about Climate Change in Latin America and the Caribbean: its causes, effects, short and long-term damages, and what we could do as individuals to contribute to a solution. The event features student members of Baruch’s cross-disciplinary Climate Scholars Program in conversation with ENV faculty Prof. Chester Zarnoch and Prof. Stephen Gosnell, and a presentation by senior Chelsea Wepy on her exciting Honors Thesis research on sustainability in Latin America. Join us on Thursday, April, 22nd from 5:00-6:00 pm, registration link below.
