Blog Post #7 : Draft Methodology

The procedure of collection of information.

There were two times recordings were being made. One on a weekend, Saturday, and one on a weekday, Wednesday. The collection of information was done so through voice memos, at the start of the day, from approx.  6AM – 10PM. Voice memos were recorded only to explain the current situation and different composure that took place. This means, my attitude would shift as we go from an environment such as public to private. Later on, code switching would be categorized from primary to secondary discourse. The specificity can reach up to an explanation of how much time is being spent in primary or secondary discourse, and who these people are whom I’m communicating with. Voice recordings were conducted continuously as traveling took place. There were moments where very little took, and this is acceptable. Moments such as subway traveling only consisted of listening to music, maintain a personal border amongst the rest of the individuals within this public transportation.
