In these pictures you’ll see the musicians interacting with one another while performing. This is one of the key characteristics in jazz music. Each of the musicians, at different instances in the performance, has a solo part. In that instance they create a short piece that they feel will compliment the whole piece. It is also important for them to back off to let the other musicians in the orchestra to perform their solo. This coordination between musicians in the orchestra reflects the importance of reliability among each other. When the white people learned to play jazz music, they too performed with the African Americans. Therefore, through performances they began to build trust on each other which reduced the gap between the two racial communities.
