Reflection

When I first registered for this class, I wasn’t sure of what to expect. I know it was an innovative, technology class to help improve my skills, thinking, knowledge on being a better entrepreneur. But aside from that I actually didn’t know I was going to get introduced into tinkercad/sketchfab prototype idea. This class actually made me design some product that I believe was of value to me and other individuals. My creative was definitely tested in this class and I am happy I participated in such a kind of practical learning. I am not an aspect on tinker cad or sketchfab but this an important tool that I will most likely go back and use for my own personal use later in future.

Also, I liked the fact that the mode of teaching for this class was very open and understanding, giving students the option to pick working by themselves or working with students in class was a good teaching skill. People are better off working when they are alone and they were given the opportunity to do that.

The 60 seconds video was really tough, I won’t lie. but I liked that we were given that limited amount of time because that is really how it is in the real world. People don’t give you the opportunity to say all that your business has to offer, they have limited time to offer and it is important to learn how to pitch your idea or show what your product stands for with that short amount of time.

It was a pleasure taking the course with all of you and professor you were the best! Have nice summer everyone!

Next step

Moving forward, I still not yet 100% sure on the next tinker cad innovation design that I will be going for. The problem solution design I created for my sister was both a success and a failure, that went well but now I have to design something that I like or an innovation of my interest. I have some idea I could design, such as car, house, a technical pen but I am still thinking of other ideas too. By this week I should know what I am doing, so I can start working on that.

Design Thinking.

Design thinking is the act of empathizing with users, interacting, doing research, having valuable conversations that can make you creative, giving meaningful insights to figure/picture out the actual problem and the right solution to build in order to meet the end-users requirements and their satisfaction. It is another way of approaching challenges users are facing, coming up with the best problem-solution ideas to help users. It helps with providing the right data, providing options to play around with and find the best possible solution.

What can the world of banking learn from design thinking? | BBVA

Design thinking has made a positive impact on various companies within the last years, before there was a thing of “design thinking” most companies had difficulty finding the right problems and without figuring the right problem you can’t really build the right solutions. There was more of large information without inadequate research or opinions from users so it was hard for business to picture or form possible solutions for users. I think design thinking is actually useful, businesses are more creative, create rooms for more ideas, people’s opinions, improved communication with owners and users, it has helped shape business owners’ behaviors. But also I don’t think everything has to be done through design thinking, I feel like nowadays people make it seem like your company can’t progress without design thinking, I mean it helps with innovation and managing your business but it is not the only right way to ahead in making a big difference or positive impact in your business.

1st Blog on Innovation

In my own opinion I believe, innovation is an act of taking something worth value or worthless and transforming or changing it into something new and valued to increase effectiveness and efficiency . It could be an idea, a product, technology, a building etc. Introducing something new that is not in the market and has a lesser chance of having a competitive advantage in the market. Innovation produces new profit and growth for the organization. Innovation can go both sides, either good or bad. Most times it is good to innovate because you want to be able to build better products that increase your productivity, matching with trends and staying valued in the market. But also Innovation can be bad especially when it is not needed in the market you are targeting, therefore it doesn’t value and customers won’t find any use of them.
