Journalists covering the crisis in Syria face many dangers. Several reporters back in 2012 were kidnapped in Syria by a sister group of Al-Qaeda and some well known reporters were even killed. The scary thing was how quickly reporters could disappear overnight. It was almost like a game of Russian Roulette because of how powerful the Al-Qaeda uprising was. If they found you, they would either take you as a hostage or kill you.
Reporters have a big responsibility reporting about the civil conflict in Syria. Every day, hundreds of innocent citizens die. The world has to be informed about how dangerous it is for people to live there. A way to do this is to also report about colleagues being killed. This shows the jihadists do not care who they kill. If you are born and raised in Syria or from America, they will kill you if they do not like you. If people read about the fighting in Syria, they might come to accept refugees migrating into other countries.
Simply put, the situation will never improve if people are not informed about what is happening in Syria. People will not be willing to help out refugees coming into their country if they do not understand why it is happening. It is important to save lives and support the destruction of the uprising so it does not spread.
