Essence, a magazine catering to African American women, threw their second annual block party to coincide with New York’s Fashion Week on September 13th.  This event is the second annual given by the magazine and aims to celebrate the best in style with an awards ceremony and celebrity guests.  The party, which was held under the archway of the Manhattan Bridge, also plays host to local businesses and entrepreneurs looking for opportunities to expand their reach and promote their products.
