Posting slideshow to blog
Here are the directions for posting your slideshow to our class blog.
In the dashboard, create a new post.
Write a headline that clearly and CONCISELY describes the feature. Think of this headline as the main entry point for readers. It has to tell them what they are going to see once they click in.
Write a 150- to 200-word introduction, setting up the slideshow.
Then, go back to Google Slides and open your completed slideshow.
Go to FILE->Publish to Web
Click on the EMBED tab
Change the size under CUSTOM to width of 800 pixels
Copy the iframe coding you see in the box.
Go back to your blog post.
IMPORTANT STEP: You must enter TEXT mode before pasting the coding into your blog post. To do that, look for the two tabs on the top right side of the text area of the post that read VISUAL and TEXT. Click on TEXT.
Then and only then, copy and paste the iframe coding into the post underneath your written intro.
Before publishing, click the category “Slideshows” in the right column.
Then hit Publish.
Look at the post, see how it looks. You might have to rewrite the headline if it’s too long or short and make other adjustments to have a clean presentation.
