Jerome Avenue,located in the Bronx, for many years has served as passageway to the various communities which include University Heights, Morris Heights, Mount Eden, Mount Hope and Concourse.These residential communities serve as housing for large immigrant populations. Access and transportation to Jerome Avenue is available through the use of the 4 train line and buses providing affiliation to the Bronx and Manhattan neighborhoods. Recently new schools have developed within the neighborhood which the Morris Heights Educational Complex and the New Settlement Community Campus. Jerome Avenue is  home to local businesses such as Auto Shops, Florist’s, Barber Shops and Lock Smiths.Some of which are family businesses serving jobs for those within the Latino Community . Mayor Bill de Blasio is currently planning on rezoning 14 city neighborhoods within New York City. One will include a seventy three block span along Jerome Avenue.The ultimate goal is to rejuvenate and renew the area. What will this mean for local businesses and residents?
