Labor Day marks the beginning of the end for beachgoers and visitors to many of Coney Island’s attractions. Although the historic leisure destination draws thousands of visitors each summer, the decline in weather and economic shift with the end of the season quickly tapers off the amount of attendees. As children return to school and parents prepare for upcoming winter holidays, the families who seek amusement turn to other alternatives. In preparation for slower business, attractions change their daily hours and welcome the last visitors as the warm weather dissipates.
