Brilliant. If I could only summarize Snowfall in one word that would be it. In the era that we live in now everything is a business in terms of tactics and how one would go about drawing in an audience. At times it I possible for one to focus more on presentation rather than the content as a whole. But that is not the case for Snowfall. Here we find a unique balance that uses multimedia to enhance the story on a larger scale that is being provided for the target audience.
Here the story is provided in an accurate timeline in order to provide insight and a detailed look into the events that occurred. Here is where the story begins to have a strong impact on me as a reader. Throughout the reading there is footage provided by Ron Pankey and Tim Carlson after the avalanche. It is here that words gradually mold into voices echoing to the reader and provide a promising experience into the story. For me it evokes a variety of emotions for me when realizing those who lives were taken during these events.
At the same time I appreciate the usage of tools such as a 3-D model of the hike to Tunnel Creek in order to simplify and breakdown the story to the audience.
Based on the style and design that this story was formatted there are a variety of topics that one may choose from. Although I would prefer to see a coverage of the crisis and civil war occurring within Syria. The countless wreckage and destruction occurring in Syria in this format would catch the interest of the reader. Visualizing the death and poor lifestyle of those Syria would resonate with me on an emotional level and would be sure to captivate the audiences attention.
