Before i read this article, i always thought that graphic design was about designing ads with nice animations and pictures. Afterwards ad designs would go on t.v., billboards, magazines, commercials, etc. However, when i read this article i learned that graphic design involves much more than making visuals for consumers but it’s also a way of interaction, communication, expression and much more. Graphic design is present all around us and is interconnected to every aspect of the way we live our lives and how we interact with our surroundings. there are many branches of graphic design all which belong to many different fields of jobs, expertise, and skills.

How did graphics become such an important part of todays society? Perhaps with the ever changing tastes of the public and technologies, companies had to find a way to attract people to information, products, services and other things. With the world changing constantly and becoming more about appealing to the senses designers had to find a way to communicate in stronger visual manners. Graphic design has been present all the time but now that everything is evolving and new styles of design being introduced, we see all ways of graphic communication more and more.
