New Romeo, New Juliet
Oh, Hey, Romeo, What’s Up?
A remake of a movie is often quite popular with the fans of the original movie, but this one ended up as a disaster. The unique quality of this remake is that the producer/script writer changes the dialogue. This increases the audience window because “Shakespearean language” can be intimidating and confusing. The article addresses the issue of the actor and actress’ compatibility. Juliet appears to be significantly younger than Romeo, but it was not uncommon for the time period it takes place in. In most cases, as long as the male is older than the female, it was acceptable.
