Changes

In the current modern world that we live in, very few things actually remain the same on a day to basis. Our music, our technology, what we see, what we eat, and even the way we act undergoes small subtle changes that culminate into the rapid human development that we unknowingly experience on a day to day basis. At times however we break apart from the trance of continuous forward movements in order to recognize the things that have changed.  Many people long for the comfort of the coffee shop or bodega they used to frequent in their youth as opposed to the new Starbucks or other major corporation establishment that was erected over the graves of mom and pop shops all across the nations. Although it is important for us to note that these events due occur but they do not always define the entire scope of real estate development. In some cases, the involvement of businesses and or the government for the purpose of developing a neighborhood can often times bring an otherwise decaying neighborhood to life. This is seen in the case of Long Island City, a neighborhood in Queens, New York that has developed immensely in the recent years in the areas of art, education, and overall aesthetic appearance.
