For our class on Tuesday, October 17th, we will begin reading tragedies. Please read:

1. “Ancient Athenian Drama,” from the Norton Anthology Vol. A, pp. 644-649
2. “Agamemnon,” by Aeschylus, from the Norton Anthology Vol. A. pp. 655 – 681. We will read the second half of the play for Thursday.

This is a substantial amount of reading, so be sure to give yourself several hours.
