How often does war come up? How about natural disasters visiting your homeland? As warfare, natural disasters, personal interests cause many people to go through poverty and a difficult lifestyle.
Therefore, I would like to introduce World Vision; a Christian humanitarian organization dedicated to working with children, families and their communities worldwide to reach their full potential by tackling the causes of poverty and injustice (worldvision.org).

In 1950, Bob Pierces helped one little girl with $5 in his pocket which started World Vision (worldvision.org). Today, I will briefly discuss the problems/issues, and I will go in depth of World Vision and how they have helped to improve society.
I will discuss the history of World Vision, some facts about World Vision. Globally in 2022, it was estimated that 45 million were underweight and malnourished (Malnutrition.org). How much do you often worry about food provided on the table? Therefore, World Vision, a Christian organization devoted their time to provide for those such as promoting child welfare throughout the world. Not only that, but they also face threats due to assisting others and/or their faith (camera.org). From 2010 to now, world vision has treated 89% of the severely malnourished and made a full recovery (worldvision.org).
Now that I’ve addressed World Vision and what they have provided. It’s very heartwarming for this type of organization to provide for the needs. They provided resources in their home countries all the way to international. In other words, trying to globalize and have a positive impact on society. Asuntha Charles, Middle East response director for World Vision was interviewing one of the mothers who are in need, and she stated, “If you were starving and you knew that selling one of your kids could prevent the others from dying, would you do it?” (worldvision.org). Asuntha Charles is a humanitarian aid industry. A humanitarian aid industry are people in an organization who work with locations that are involved in war and corrupted by the circumstances(camera.org). World vision helps children, adults, people who have disabilities and more to build these individuals a stronger future. By doing so, they provide nutritious food, clean water, healthcare, education and child protection, and spiritual nurture (charitynavigator.org). World vision has 4 out of 4 stars with a 94% grade. This means they exceed best practices and industry standards across almost all areas. To earn this type of score, the organization must be a highly effective charity (worldvision.org).
They assist in helping girls stay in school longer and get a better education so they can avoid child marriage and high-risk teen pregnancies. Educated girls have fewer children and are better able to take care of them (Hope in 2020). They help with Individuals with disabilities based on their living environment and provide information in the form of outdated laws and policies. In addition, provide awareness with the attitudes and prejudices of people in their community.

In conclusion, I understand there are more conflicts and issues than what I have mentioned throughout my presentation. Even so, I have chosen this charity which dedicates themselves to make a positive impact through society. Therefore, all you need is to provide is you’re 2 meals for a month will save [monthly donation of $40] help a child in a hunger-affected country to build a stronger future through lasting access to essentials like.
I’m going without food for 30 hours so others don’t have to. 1 in every 10 people in the world do not have enough to eat. 98% of these people live in developing countries. Some live at the mercy of hunger crises like the one that struck East Africa. Others have been forced from their homes, scraping by with that they can find. Still more find themselves caught in a cycle of poverty and hunger, neither of which they can escape. But when we come together, there’s hope. 30 years ago, 36% of people in the world lived in extreme poverty. Today, only 10% do. Just $40 will help feed and care for a child for a month!
