As a millennial I didn’t think that asking for a balance between the personal and the work life would be as hard as I thought. I think that everyone knows that there isn’t “enough hours in the day” and there is a need to complete a lot of things that continue to pile up. I know that right now as a senior majoring in Business Economics, playing on the Women’s Basketball Team and managing the Men’s Baseball team while trying to have a social life is very hard to balance. There is always a need for downtime between the stresses of everyday life. For example, the Gen X interviewee, spoke about how that it is and has been hard trying to create the perfect work-life balance for himself and his family. Its unfortunate to say that nothing in life is going to be totally perfect in creating the right balance. On the other hand, our millennial interviewee she believed that there is a need for the work-life balance while also understanding that there is a dire need to advance in the workplace without reaching every position (ultimately skipping some).
On the other hand, feedback was essential to the needs of the everyday Millennial. Feedback proved to improve the relationships of the millennial with their Gen X or Baby Boomer bosses.
