Since my original idea wasn’t able to happen, I’ll be pivoting to my backup idea. I plan to ask a wide range of students the question “what is one thing that Baruch offers that you like the most.” With the answers, I plan on taking various photos of what Baruch provides to its students. From the outside plaza to the diverse amount of advisement opportunities, to even the water fountains, I plan to capture the things that Baruch students appreciate the most.
This is a timely story since the school year is still fresh, with the school reporting the largest first-year class ever with 2,600 new students. With this fact, I would like to know if there was anything that initially attracted the new students, and what they enjoyed the most over the first couple of weeks. In addition to freshmen, I plan to ask students who have been here for multiple years what they enjoy the most.
I think this story would be visually interesting since there are many different parts of the school that are fascinating when they are used. Crowded hallways, busy offices, and populated sitting areas would portray students’ favorite parts of Baruch
