Summary
A fire took place two weeks ago at Barton Orchards, a fruit picking farm in Upstate New York.
My family and I have always gone upstate for a weekend days in September to go hiking and apple picking. This past month, the farm we would go to, Barton Orchards, had 3 of its main buildings burn down. We are still planning to go upstate to see the farm, as the community has come together to host fundraisers and events at the farm so they can recuperate enough money to rebuild after the devastating event.
I am planning to go up by train and photograph the remains of the buildings, the community fundraisers, and people enjoying themselves at the apple picking orchard. I will also see if they have any plans for reconstruction, and talk to people who are hosting the fundraisers about what the Farm meant to the community.
