Summary
What does it mean to be a New Yorker? Some people say you have to live in the city for 15 years to be considered a real New Yorker, others believe that you have to be born here. I will interview a life-long resident of New York City to ask their experience living in the city, what they think about transplants, and their stance on what is means to be a "New Yorker."
(this is a very rough draft of what I want to do for my radio story, but I think it could spark an interesting conversation on the very widespread experience of living in a city with such a big population and constant flow of transplants. I also have to do some more research and find someone willing to do the radio story. Let me know what you guys think 🙂 )
