Summary
Host intro: It’s spooky season! Halloween is right around the corner and streaming services are bombarding all of us with spooky movies. Let’s figure out the spookiest of them all.
Ambi:
Track: I sat down with Tiana Burgos to find out what movie scares her the most. She says it’s the Third Final destination film.
Act: It’s so scary I don’t even want to talk about it. That’s the one where they predict the future by looking at the photographs and then you see a person in the background and you’re like “oh no we have to get to them.” And it just makes no sense and it’s so terrifying because it makes no sense.
TRACK: She eventually was able to overcome the fear & discussed in detail what made it so memorably scary. After all, she was eleven when she first watched it.
ACT: I was really scared of everything at the time, honestly. I was always afraid of dying or something crazy happening. And this movie does a really good job of making you afraid of the most insane things and the most improbable scenarios.
ACT: It’s not like actual horror, but they’re playing on your fear of mortality and life. It made me just feel like everyday I was living I was gambling.
TRACK: The move stuck with her through her childhood.
TRACK: Here’s Burgos talking about the scariest scene of the whole movie.
ACT: There’s these two women that go into the tanning beds and they start listening to rollercoaster of love and then, um, they get locked in the beds and they start burning. They literally start burning and like melting. Like they get fried. Like what?!
ACT: I just don’t even like talking about it because it’s so eery.
Track: Be safe out there everyone. Watch out for logging trucks and tanning beds that lock. For Baruch College, I’m Jack Van Hecke.
