Summary
INTRO: As a fellow college student myself, I know it's not for everybody and it can be a struggle. Which is why I scouted some college students with different backgrounds to get a spin on what their life is like
AMBI: BELL RINGS
Brianna: So hi
Catherine: Hello

Brianna: It could be for yourself of for other students
Catherine: Go to class, be more involved, don't waste your days away at home sleeping or playing video games, make friends.
Brianna: Hmmmm
AMBI: NYC TRAFFIC NOISES

Aileen: I live at home, I commute to school
Brianna: Okay and how is that commute for you
Aileen: I've gotten used to it but, at first it was hard since I had to wake up really early and get used to it, find my way through the city but now its just bearable
Brianna: Right, um how much to commute like going and coming
Aileen: I usually pay $11.75 if it's off peak, $15.25 if it's on peak and that depends on the times that I'm coming.
Brianna: How much would you say you pay for groceries, but at the same time you do live at home so
Aileen: Yeah
Brianna: Do you buy your own groceries or?
Aileen: Yeah Recently we started like implementing like every tuesday we all go to the grocery store and like everyone gets like what they need and so whatever the total is we split it between my parents and then my brother and me
Brianna: Oh ok bet, how would you say you survive like the school year cause this is a college survival guide so what are your ways of surviving and what tips would you give to other college students
Aileen: So my ways of surviving are to you know um meet up with your friends like discuss like how everything is going, like you know also spending time to myself like I like to go to the library and like just sit there, doing that helps me
Aileen: And a tip I have for someone is to just like also like wander around your campus and just like look up look at people cause then like that's also like inspiring, seeing someone study like on campus can really help
AMBI: Cha- ching
Brianna: So what is your name, where are you from and how old are you
Lily: My name is Lily Sahadi, I'm from Rockland County, NY and I am 20
Brianna: Okay what school you currently attend and what year are you
Lily: I attend Baruch College, and I am a junior majoring in Finance
Brianna: Describe your school environment
Lily: Hmmm, my school environment is very fast paced I would say I feel like everyone is trying to get from point A to point B as fast as they can, it's a big commuter school so you don't really see a lot of people for a long amount of time, but it's still nice with the plaza and it a big school definitely I like it
Brianna: Do you live in a dorm or in your own home
Lily: I live in my own apartment
Brianna: And how much do you pay each month
Lily: I pay around $2,000 a month
Brianna: And do you have roomates
Lily: I have two roomates
Brianna: And describe your home layout like how many baths
Lily: So I have two baths, and three bedrooms and thankfully a little balcony and we have a little nice living room and kitchen um yeah.
Brianna: Okay how much would you say you pay for groceries
Lily: Oh my gosh
Brianna: Weekly
Lily: Weekly probably $70
Brianna: Okay and would you say you have a work life balance?
Lily: Yeah, I would say that, I think, well fortunately I dont work but like im a full time student and that takes a lot of my time so im able to balance that and still do my hobbies so
Brianna: Okay and how would you day you survive the school year, like what advice would you give other college students
Lily: Don't take it seriously, but don't break yourself to do it, um I think balancing like the previous question we spoke about is key to just being happy for a semester and still performing well um im able to study three hours a day and still do things that I like I know it's harder for students who are working a job and commuting that's a lot to do and very stressful
Lily: But I think making an hour, like at most an hour, you need to just chill out, do what you like and you'll be able to survive the semester.
Brianna: Okay perfect thank you !
