We are soon approaching the 100th anniversary of The Harlem Renaissance. Many descendants of poets and musicians live on to tell the stories of the renaissance. It would be an honor to interview those who have so much to share about this time period, and to also attend any events related to this upcoming anniversary.
Pitch 2
Forest park is hosting a fall festival on Oct. 12 with live music, games and plenty of food. The event usually takes place as a community walk but this year, the Woodhaven community kicked it up a notch to include more festivities and attractions. The Woodhaven community board and I have communicated about events in the past and I can reach out to them to possibly interview the band performing, or to just highlight the atmosphere and environment of the festival.
