Reflection

I think the most meaningful assignment for me is the research paper because this is the most important assignment in our class, and also I like my research topic, which is ChatGPT vs. Google. I am really interested in ChatGPT because I found that it is a very useful tool and AI will definitely impact our future. After writing the research paper, I have a deep understanding of AI and have high expectations for the future.

I think the most surprising aspect of this semester is that most of my classmates have part-time jobs. For me, it is hard to work and study at the same time. It is hard for me to find a balance between study and work. 

I think the rhetorical situation worksheet helps me learn about reading and analyzing texts critically. I can analyze who the audience is, what the purpose is, and which rhetorical strategies the author uses. I can also find out the argument and the evidence that the author wants to talk about.

I think the narrative essay helps me learn how to write my own texts critically. In my narrative essay, I set up a specific audience to talk about my personal experience of applying to college in a different tone. I learn that audience and purpose impact my writing a lot. Discussion boards also show my ability to compose with an aware audience, genre, and purpose because I include a cute picture of my article and a casual tone to let others find interest in my discussion board.

I think the research journal and research paper help me learn to consider which source is credible or not. I will go to our library to search for trustable peer review journals for academic sources and also use the database to find any related data. I learn how to summarize, interpret, critique, and synthesize the arguments of others in the research paper. 

I think the research paper helps me learn about composition as a process. Writing a research paper is a process involving multiple drafts, and the research journal is just like an outline with details that help me build up my first draft easily, also the peer review section also helps me to find out which part is unclear for the reader.

I can learn this from the narrative essay because I set up two different styles for different audiences, which is the high school student, who will need to face the same problem with me in the future, and the professor. I also think the research paper helps me build up my writing conventions because I know when to use quotes.
