In mid-June, one of the many companies that provides psychotherapy and counseling videos to the Counseling and Therapy database (from Alexander Street Press) is pulling all their content from that database to put it on their own subscription database (these videos are all from Psychotherapy.net). Luckily for us, we have access to nearly all of those same videos via Kanopy, another streaming video database we have.

Counseling Therapy and Video Is Now Alexander Street Counseling
Counseling Therapy and Video has now been renamed as Alexander Street Counseling. For the rest of the spring semester, there will be links to it under both names on the Databases page; at the end of the semester, we’ll just keep the link for Alexander Street Counseling. There is a note in the database description for both versions that mentions the name change.

This database from Alexander Street Press features more than 600 videos for the study of social work, psychotherapy, psychology, and psychiatric counseling. You can narrow searches by type of video:

As videos play, a highlighted transcript scrolls along the right side of the screen.
