Leadership, discipline, and relationship building are at the core of Madison’s Internship Program, as it is designed to attract, develop and train professionals who share our passion for instituting meaningful change and powerful financial results for the firm. As a Intern, candidates will receive firsthand experience working as an integral member of the firm’s Asset Management team. Over the course of the Program, candidates will work closely with experienced professionals in a diverse work environment and have the chance to make real contributions to our business results. Candidates will support Madison’s Asset Management team across tasks including but not limited to:
Responsibilities will include:
– Working closely with senior asset management individuals on a variety of tasks that support the business plans of the investment.
– Assisting in preparation of internal and external trackers, reports, and presentations.
– Compiling and maintaining research on markets within portfolio (sales comps, lease comps).
– Developing a working knowledge of leases, loan documents, partnership agreements, and other agreements.
– Participating in the preparation of a variety of financial analyses, in support of the firm’s investments.
Skills/Qualifications:
– Seeking an undergraduate candidate with a major in real estate
– Strong Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word skills preferred.
– Strong academic credentials from a leading university.
– Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
– Ability to work within a team environment and interface with institutional clients and counterparties.
– Eagerness to work in an entrepreneurial environment and to assume extensive responsibilities.
– Understanding of real estate fundamentals, commercial leases, financing principles, and advanced capital structures a plus
