Pear shapes have narrow shoulders, tiny waist, and large hips that are usually ten inches wider then their waists. This is one of the most common shapes for females of the four shapes: pear, apple, banana, and hour glass.
So the goal here is to draw the attention away from your bottom half, so you don’t look bottom heavy.
1.An easy way to do this is by wearing darker solid colored bottoms such as: dark jeans or pencil and a lined skirts paired with a bright or patterned colored top and interesting scarf. This will take the focus away from your larger bottom half.
2.Wear simple bottoms that are fitted without weird pocket, pleats or accents, because those draw attention to areas that might be problematic making you appear larger then you are.
3.Make use of a nice long blazer that goes just past your hips, this will create nice lean lines and will cover your hip area .
4.Play with neckline to show of your nice bone structure and to again draw attention to your top half.
5.Since you are keeping it simple on the bottom you can experiment with off the shoulder tops, ruffles, puffy sleeves, and sequins to again draw the attention to your top area.
6. Make sure that when you wear belts that they fit around your waist, the skinniest part of your body, because wearing a belt around your hips will look unsightly.
