The Change Up

August 4, 2011 by bb-pawprint

Last night, my friend and I got tickets to a screening for the movie The Change Up. The Change up is a comedy about two men who take a drunk pee in a fountain and wish for each other’s lives. The wish is then granted by the creepy fountain statue, which just so happens to go missing. Personally, I thought it was going to just be all slapstick stupid comedy, which isn’t really my thing. But, who turns down a free movie?

To my surprise, I found the movie was actually quite good. Besides the stupid jokes that everyone laughed to on cue, there’s a real story that grabs the watchers attention. Each of the men learn a lot of things about themselves, and about what people think about them. The men learn things that people wouldn’t tell them to their face, and throughout the movie they become better friends and people. It’s also cool that they get to experience each others lives, things they never experienced in their own. The whole thing is pretty corny, because they end with – oh wait, let me not spoil it (:
