This class has really been a learning experience, but the best thing about it has to be the experience of meeting other people who find joy in being a journalist. I love knowing that I’m not the only one who loves writing as much as I do and that there are places, magazines and newspapers that could use someone like me to write for them.
I’ll be honest when I say I have no idea where I’ll be in ten years.
Will I be a star reporter for The New York Times, The Boston Globe or The Chicago Tribune? Will I be a food critic? Will I even be a writer? I’m at a complete loss.
The beauty of it, though, is that most people don’t know where their life will lead them. Sometimes they even get thrown into a career.
Meeting these people and hearing their stories makes me feel that being at a complete loss of my future at times is completely normal. I love that.
