As customers of the MTA we have just adapted to paying $2.25 for a single ride. The Mass Transit Authority is working on setting a new increase of 75% of $2.25 which would be $3.25 for a ride.
They just cut the bus service down to every 30 minutes and 3 buses to an area so the MTA is becoming unfair and greedy. They are a daily organization that runs throughout the city so they can not say they arenâÂÂt making enough money. The MTA is going to up their prices, cut service and think they are still going to make money, which will not work together.
In order to maintain customers the MTA should either keep the same price, reduce it or give more frequent bus services, but there should be something to compromise with another fare increase. The intention to increase the fare is unfair for the people and very inconsiderate.
