Pirandello Society of America
PSA is the annual journal of the Pirandello Society of America. It is distributed to all members and institutional subscribers. The Society invites applications for a new Managing Editor. This is an internship position that will provide valuable experience for someone looking to expand their portfolio and acquire additional real-world experience with editing, formatting, design, and professional publication.
The Managing Editor is responsible for finalizing the journal for publication and should be someone with experience at text formatting, desktop publishing, and copyediting. S/he will work collaboratively with the journal Editors and the Senior Editor in a professional and timely manner. The Managing Editor will also assist in copyediting the final proofs for the journal before it is finalized and sent to press.
This internship position is unpaid; however, if the Managing Editor is also able to design the journal’s cover image s/he will receive compensation for that design.
InDesign or similar publishing program
FTP for transferring files
Image editing for publication
Professional communication and teamwork abilities
Reading knowledge of Italian and English
Familiarity with or experience with academic publishing

Celebrating the 150th anniversary of Luigi Pirandello’s birth, this one-day conference sponsored by the Pirandello Society of America seeks a broad spectrum of contributions that evaluate and illuminate Pirandello’s legacies on world theatre, literature, cinema, and other media over a period of more than a hundred years. We encourage contributions that are interdisciplinary and engage with a variety of theoretical models when looking at Pirandello’s work and its multifaceted resonance.
English is the official language of the Conference.
