Plimpton 322

Plimpton 322 is the most famous (perhaps the most notorious) mathematical cuneiform tablet from ancient Mesopotamia. It dates from Old Babylonian times, around 1800 BCE, and was excavated in around 1920 from the site of the Sumerian city of Larsa in what is now Iraq.
