If you are one of the lucky ones who have purchased Kylie Jenner’s new (and sold out) lip glosses in early April, your lip gloss wands now probably look a cheap 99 cent store knockoff. If you complained about the quality of the high profile makeup line, you are not the only one.

But, it only took one complaint from Jeffree Star, a popular makeup artist and founder of Jeffree Star Cosmetics for Kylie to actually step up and take action on her defective products.

Kylie Jenner, the youngest member of the Kardashian clan is well known for her luscious lips and popular lipstick line, Kylie Cosmetics. Jenner has made liquid matte lipstick a huge trend in the makeup world, and has other makeup brands from high-end brands to drugstore brands competing with Kylie Cosmetics. With all her fame and standing on top of the lipstick trend, it is impossible to even get your hands on any of her cosmetics since her “Lip Kits” are often sold out the moment they become available at KylieCosmetics.com

In Jeffree Star’s Snapchat video, he says, “This is no hate whatsoever, it’s just, if you’re a multi-million dollar celebrity, why would you put anything out half-ass?”, which seriously has makeup lovers wondering the same thing. At the end of the video, Starr throws out Kylie’s lip glosses into the trash can and says, “these are f**king garbage.”

Kylie Jenner has responded to Jeffree Star’s video and claims that she will be making improvements on her lip gloss wands and whoever bought the first batch of defective lip glosses will receive new lip glosses with the improved wands. The whole incident has left people wondering if Jenner would have still made the improvements if Jeffree Star have not called her out on her “jank” lip glosses.

The defective lip glosses have not stopped Jenner’s fame in the makeup world, since her recently launched metallic lip glosses still sold out in minutes. The lesson learned here: Queen Kylie cannot be dethroned by a simple Snapchat video.
