If you are one of the lucky ones who have purchased Kylie Jenner’s new (and sold out) lip glosses in early April, your lip gloss wands now probably look a cheap 99 cent store knockoff. If you complained about the quality of the high profile makeup line, you are not the only one.

But, it only took one complaint from Jeffree Star, a popular makeup artist and founder of Jeffree Star Cosmetics for Kylie to actually step up and take action on her defective products.

Another Take: Kendrick Lamar is Untitled, But Still A Master

In the wake of Kanye West’s artistic psychodrama comes a left-field Kendrick Lamar surprise album drop this Friday. Thank goodness.

The eight tracks off of untitled unmastered were mostly recorded during the To Pimp a Butterfly sessions in late 2014, and provide a fascinating insight into Lamar’s creative process. Interestingly, the title of each song is dated according to when it was recorded. The title of the album is clever in itself, nodding at Lamar’s concerns of freedom as well as the nature of his new music– not as lavish as TPAB, but yet the details in each song grasps listeners.

Lamar shows his most playful side on untitled unmastered in comparison to all of his previous works — which is probably where the “unmastered” portion of the release comes into play. Adding these songs on TPAB would not have necessarily improved it, as none of the eight tracks are blockbusters. The hooks lack power yet somehow everything flows effortlessly, and Lamar’s talent for lyricism prevails in every track.

The release comes on the heels of a Twitter exchange between James, Lamar and Anthony Tiffith, the CEO of Top Dawg Entertainment — Lebron asked Lamar and Tiffith to release new music by Lamar that never made it on TPAB. And the new content signals a plain and simple truth when it comes to social media and the superstar who frequent it:

What LeBron James wants, LeBron James gets.

But what are we supposed to do on National Backward Day or National Cuddle Up Day? These daily holidays have been around for years but a recent resurgence in popularity has brought them back into the public eye through trending social media hashtags, categories that have propelled third tier events into the holiday major leagues.

Which Kanye West Will We Get Next?

“I miss the Old Kanye/Straight from the ‘Go Kanye/Chop up the soul Kanye/Set on his goals Kanye” – Kanye West

IMG_5891

With the help of footwear/fashion giant adidas, Kanye West pulled off a creative coop on February 11th: he debuted his new album, The Life Of Pablo and his clothing line Yeezy Season 3 both at Madison Square Garden.

The World’s Most Famous Arena never quite had such an “expect the unexpected” feeling like this since a Game 7 of an NBA Finals: the arena was dark with clouds of smoke surfacing from what looked like a blanket covering a stage. Suddenly, the Kardashians and the Jenners make their red carpet entrance. Kanye West steps to the DJ turntables and “Ultra Light Beams” blasts in The World’s Most Famous Arena as the models underneath the blanket were revealed standing still in Yeezy Season Gear.

For two hours, the Garden crowd partied like rock stars, using Kanye West’s album as their soundtrack. The old Kanye, “chop up the soul Kanye,” was back and never better.

On Valentine’s Day, You’re Never Too Old For Love

In the past, public displays of affection was looked upon as a social faux-pas. As a result of this, people weren’t quite vocal or active when showing off affection towards their partner, whether it be in the form of casual conversations with friends, publicly voicing affection or even trying to steal a kiss while walking down the street.

Today, however, things are drastically different as we can see on a holiday like Valentines Day. Lovers get tattoos of their partner’s names etched on all regions of their body, people spend minutes kissing passionately on street corners and youngsters risk their hearts by writing letters for their loved ones and creating their own special Valentine cards.

And while they say love is for the young, elderly lovelorn folks are also seeking passion and romance via online dating.
