Conversation Partners Program

Connecting with fellow students and building community is especially important during COVID times. This initiative aims to help you build relationships in the Baruch community and is also a great way to practice your language skills.

The Conversation Partners Program (CPP) matches native and nonnative speakers of English for informal conversations. It is a great way for nonnative students to gain confidence in English, for native speakers to gain experience in communicating across language barriers, and for both native and nonnative speakers to expand their cultural knowledge, make friends, and build a network of professional contacts. To participate, students should be willing to commit to meeting their partner at least six times this semester for about one hour. The meetings between students as well as all events this semester will take place online.

For more information and to sign up, see  http://www.baruch.cuny.edu/cpp

The deadline for signing up is Thursday, Sept. 24.

Hello class!

Welcome to Writing II!

This is the class blog, published on Blogs@Baruch, where we can share our thoughts and opinions, and comment on news items and information interesting to the course.

Congratulations on being here. While I know that none of us expected this semester to be online, I trust that together we will make this a good, memorable experience, and I look forward to teaching and learning with you in what I trust will be an exciting and productive semester.
