We are all here because we want and choose to be here. Everyone has a choice in most situations.
Be curious, open, and respectful- Call in, not out, and throw sunshine, not shade. Let’s respect people’s ideas and beliefs.
Allow time for processing and personal readiness- When prepared and having gathered thoughts and responses, everyone should be free to speak and participate in different forms. We value open participation.
Speak from your experience – Use I statements rather than generalizations.
Be conscious of intent vs. impact – No matter the intention, you’re responsible for your impact.
All questions are valid – Always ask questions if you need clarification. Do not judge others if they need to ask for help.
Well-being (mental health) check-ins– Let’s check on each other periodically.
Confidentiality—Don’t speak for others without explicit permission or share something communicated in a private or safe space.
