Multimodal Research-Based Argument.

Below is my Multimodal Research-Based Argument. My project is about the benefits of attending a school with a dual curriculum. I tried to address as many points and benefits as I could in the time limit without being two overwhelming. I decided to make this video as a compilation of other videos and pictures. It took a long time because I sifted through A LOT of other videos to get both the audio and the visual to get my point across- there is only one instance in this video that the audio and visual were originally together, the rest I cut and edited myself. I want to show the contrast of the English curriculum, and in my case at least, Hebrew curriculum, yet show how they work hand in hand to create a good education. I did not want to use text to say anything, although there are some infographics shown with words. In the final version, I would maybe try to add in even some more benefits without going over the time limit, but I want to make sure each point is stressed enough so it is a challenge The audience are people who may not know what a dual curriculum is, but hopefully glean both what it is, and how it is beneficial from this video.

    1. I found the use of repetitiveness to be very useful in showing the support of the benefits of dual curriculum. There any many news stations, and students that have a longer day at school, but they like it because of their extra knowledge they gain.
    2. The argument is the benefits of dual curriculum. This type of school sounds difficult, but the video proves how it has so many benefits that it is worth it.
    3. This video had a clear message and was easy to follow along to. I liked the video footage showing students experiencing their long day as we took a look into the classroom. It was a risky film to show especially in a classroom setting before finals, because most students probably couldn’t imagine themselves taking double the classes they are currently in, it would make them stressed at just the thought of it.
    4. My suggestions are I would have liked to have heard some specific examples from your experience, you mentioned you went to a dual curriculum school, what benefits did you get from it that make it worth it? What struggles did you face in a tough school like this? I think by adding some disadvantages to a dual curriculum in the video, it would prove that the benefits actually in fact outweigh the disadvantages and therefore a dual curriculum school is a good investment.

The elements of this project that stood out to be an effective piece were the opinions of the parents and the opinions of the kids that go to a dual curriculum school.
The point of this piece are the benefits of going to a dual curriculum school. In the video she showed the advantages of attending this certain school and how it affects the kids.
I think this piece was interesting because the audience will learn something new. I had little knowledge of this school.
Some suggestions for improvement is the Rebecca could add a personal opinion of what she thinks of this school or she could even add in her story to make it more personal.
