symbolism in nature

Below is an example of literature where nature is used to explain human feelings, and emotion.

The Crow and the Serpent.  This parable is short and sweet.  Its purpose is to remind us to be thankful for everything that we have.  At times, everything doesn’t go your way, but that doesn’t mean that God isn’t blessing you.  In the story a crow and his (wife) wanted to have children but couldn’t because a snake intruded upon their nest and stayed there until the cold weather came.  Due to the snake’s intrusion, the crows weren’t permitted to lay eggs that year.  This didn’t upset them, they knew that life could be worse.  Instead, they were thankful for being able to live another year to attempt to bear a young.

Rasa – Kama example.

Rasa – Kama

“Priyamvada [aside].  Anasuya, ever since she first saw the king, Sakuntala has been terribly restless.  Perhaps he is the cause of her fever?”
In this excerpt you can see that Sakuntala and the king shared interest in each other.  After their first encounter their daily lives were disrupted.  The king strayed from his responsibilities, and Sakuntala experienced a chemical imbalance that was diagnosed as a fever.  This is where Kama comes into effect.  The Rasa emitted by their desire for each other was so forceful that everybody was distracted. Its almost like love at first sight with a chemical chain reaction that set off an entire village.
