Hi everyone!
My name is Subrota Shill, and I’m currently a student at Baruch College, majoring in Business Communication. I’m also part of the SEEK program, which supports students like me in reaching our academic and personal goals.

What Is Spring Forward?

Spring Forward is a career development program designed for college students who haven’t had a paid internship yet. It gives us a chance to gain real-world experience—and we even get paid $20 an hour!

I’m excited to apply because I’m passionate about marketing, communication, and leadership. I want to step into a professional environment, connect with inspiring people, and challenge myself to grow in new ways.

How I’m Preparing

Even though I haven’t been accepted yet, I’m doing everything I can to show I’m ready for this opportunity:

  • I updated my resume to highlight my involvement in clubs like ALPFA and the Urban Male Leadership Academy.
  • I wrote a heartfelt letter about why communication matters to me.
  • I even studied the Spring Forward website and wrote about what the program stands for—to show I really understand and believe in their mission.
