Dear Spring Forward Team,

My name is Subrota Shill, and I’m writing to express my interest in the Spring Forward Internship Program. I am a first-year student at Baruch College, majoring in Business Communication, and I’m looking for a meaningful opportunity to gain real-world experience and grow both personally and professionally. I believe this program aligns well with my goals, especially as someone who has not yet had the chance to participate in a paid internship.

Since starting college, I’ve maintained a 3.7 GPA while actively participating in student organizations that support leadership and communication skills. I am a member of ALPFA, where I help promote events through social media content, and I attend workshops with the Urban Male Leadership Academy (UMLA) and the Wall Street Club. These experiences have helped me strengthen my ability to collaborate, lead, and communicate effectively.

In addition to my academic involvement, I’ve held part-time jobs at a noodle shop and at a library. At the noodle shop, I worked directly with customers, helped train new employees, and supported daily operations. At the library, I was responsible for organizing materials, assisting patrons, and completing office tasks. These roles taught me how to manage responsibilities, work in a team, and stay organized.

I am especially interested in the Spring Forward Internship because it’s designed for students like me—motivated, hardworking, and eager to gain hands-on experience. I see this as a great opportunity to learn from professionals, build new skills, and take an important step toward my future career in business and communication.

Thank you for considering my application. I’ve attached my resume for your review. If you need any additional information, please feel free to contact me by phone or email. I look forward to the opportunity to learn more about the program.

Sincerely,
Subrota Shill
