Moving to Green point Brooklyn five months ago from Long Island I thought I was moving into the city but I was so wrong.I thought moving to Brooklyn that my life would be overwhelming and always be on the fast track rushing everywhere like I do everyday when I’m going to school and work in Manhattan.Brooklyn is more of a suburb to Manhattan rather then being equivalent to the life of the city. After a long day of feeling like I’m moving 100 mph all day and never feeling like I can catch my breath. It is a relief when I walk up the stairs from the L train and enjoy my walk from Williamsburg to Green point I enjoy my walks because at night Williamsburg like Manhattan always has something going on, but unlike Manhattan you can really acknowledge and appreciate the life around you and not overlook life like people usually do everyday when walking the streets of Manhattan. I love living in Green point because If I need a break from Manhattan I can just stay in Brooklyn but if I want to go to the city for the night and do the many interesting things Manhattan has to offer I have that option as well at my disposal.
