Since college started few weeks ago, all I have been trying to do is to keep up with my classes. My first semester in college went pretty well. However, I am completely shocked about the amount of workload from my classes this semester. Like this week, while everyone is probably having fun doing many fun things in this four day weekend. I am mostly at home trying to finish my two lab reports which is due this week and also two upcoming quizzes  on Tuesday.

I guess, I already knew that I have to face these type of obstacles once in a while to reach my goals of becoming a doctor. Whenever I told anybody that I wanted study Pre-med and become a doctor, every one used to tell me that it’s going to be a difficult road ahead. However, I never knew how difficult it would be. I always thought they were all just overestimating it. But finally as one of the few Pre-med majors in Baruch, I am realizing that it is not a easy path to follow. Sometimes I feel like if I was really prepared to sacrifice my social life to pursue my dream. But I feel like that I will regret if I decide to give up on it just at the starting line.  I guess, I should push forward as much as I can. I feel like trivial  reasons like extra home works or missing hang outs with friends shouldn’t keep me from achieving my dream.

    Hello,
Don’t give up! I am going to do Pre-med, too. In every field (not only in medical one), you will have to study a lot to get better grades and a high-paying job. You can hang out with your friends during the breaks 🙂

    Hey,
I understand your work load, but try to do as much as you can during your four days on campus, make being home way more enjoyable because most of your homework gets done during school time.
    Best of Luck!
