Today for the first time since moving to the city I went to the Brooklyn bridge. When going to the Brooklyn bridge it helped me gain a new perspective of Manhattan and helped me appreciate were I live a lot more.The brooklyn bridge was built in 1883.I thought that was fascinating that something built so long ago still looks the same and is used for the same functions as it was built for.When first walking over the bridge you see the real beauty of New york city with the Mixture of water and bridges and the city skyline in the back ground. It makes you have a lot of pride for were you live and appreciate what we have in New york city were pretty spoiled with this man made beauty, people from other parts of the country as well as other countries probably will never experience what I have by just walking over the bridge.When walking over to the other side of the bridge in brooklyn it almost feels like a different world. I never been to that part of brooklyn and its pretty cool over there its almost like a miniature version of Manhattan. I really enjoyed my time on the Brooklyn bridge and want to experience a lot more of New york city’s history that it has to offer.
