New York as the city of Art

Art exhibitions, museums, galleries, numerous shows and walls painted into the spectrum of different colors, which is to say in graffiti. Being one of the most affluent cultural centers of the world, NYC offers numerous chances for the young talents to show their creations to the publicity and gain appreciation and acknowledgment.
None of the cities known to be rich in the variety of the artwork exhibitions and potential new van Gogh’s or Monet’s can brag with their supportive actions towards the beginning artists. The shocking discovery for me appeared to be the Museum of Art and Design at Columbus Circle. Not only the gallery sells handmade goods and famous art pieces from the ancient to modern times, not only it exposes magnificent sculptures and paintings to the appreciator’s eyes but it also opens numerous rooms for rent to give an ability to the creators of art to work on their projects right before the visitor’s eyes. I was fascinated to see the clay liquid forms being transformed into shaped jars and the glass stripes being blown into vases in front of me. I could see and feel the spirit of art and hard work that was put into the creation of those goods.

Being a niece of an artist, who moved from London because of the lack of the opportunities to succeed in her field, I understand how important it is to give chances to be seen on public not only to the well-known craftsmen but also to the beginners. I admire NYC city to be so open to help such people. Hopefully, it has a free space to provide a chance to one more of them 🙂
