To be honest, I am not a fan of poetry. I was never one to begin with and as I was exposed to more and more poems, I kept disliking poems even more. I always try to avoid reading poems. I feel like if a writer wants to show his/ her feelings about a certain subject than he might as well do it with a letter, essay or a letter. If you are writing a poetry to express your feelings, then u are making it harder for people to understand you. If the writer writes a poem by assuming that the mysteries in the poem will get the readers to try to understand more about the writers feelings, but that will also confuse readers more and more.
I know I am being really cynical about poems. But I am in a bad mood today, so I guess there is no point trying to praise something that I do not like. Well, if I say I completely hate poems then it would be lying. I like poems that rhymes really well. I feel like those poems does a much better job at pulling the readers in and the lines gets stuck in your head and makes you think about it. Unlike, some complicated poems with huge lines that are full of huge words incomprehensible by regular readers. By saying all of these negative things about poetry, I am not trying to discourage people from reading them. If you like poetry then you should be glad that you could enjoy something complicated that is understood by few.
