I feel as if my life is filled with nothing but misfortune and despair. Spring break was an absolute struggle for me as I had to deal with a cold and rash and having to resume classes is of course a misfortune as well. Mid-terms are here. With classes resuming, mid term grades reveal and upcoming mid terms this short week has been filled with heart aching suspense and worry. Anthropology, what is that? Because I certainly have no idea and with the mid term coming up I feel more in the dumps. I will cram half a semesters worth of material in one weekend. There goes my weekend. One spark of light, a particle of fortune is that another exam was push back now I only need to cram for one class this week.
In general, I was wondering how others deal with classes. Do you like me sleep with your eyes open in class and cram few days before the exams or openly take notes and pay attention? or do you have a secret method of dealing with classes that you want to keep hidden. something about the extra free time of a college student has made me lazy. Besides essays I will wait until the very last minute to start. What is your mentality or approach to surviving life as a college student? I find it difficult to sit in a seat for more than thirty minutes, forget paying attention but if I have to I will participate. My approach is to do the least minimal work.
I openly take notes and pay attention in math, but since it’s a course that requires lots of studying, I definitely end up cramming! Like I’m doing now for my upcoming test on Wednesday! It’s tough to get out of the habit of procrastination, isn’t it?
