I’m writing about “Barbie Girl” by Marge Piercy and since a lot of it is about objectifying and stereotyping women, I wanted to make a 3D Object. I’m still thinking about what I want to create but I think creating and producing an object will be really fun. I definitely need to find out how I can draft my object and if there is something similar on thingiverse that I can edit. I would rather create an object from scratch because when will I ever get the same chance? When a 3D object is drafted, is there a special program online that I have to work with? Do I start working on paper first? How big is too big/ What size is preferred?
Making the object about a central part of the poem is a little difficult because I don’t particularly want to make a 3D object of a Barbie, which was the first thought in my head. I’m trying to think harder about the poem and what else might work, but it’s an ongoing process right now.
