For the digital part of this essay I have chosen to use the poem “Space” by Ted Berrigan. I have a pretty basic idea on how I will make this poem come to life. I will begin by shooting, in black and white, the protagonist as he goes about his day. He is having one of those bad mornings with a mellow melody playing in the background. I will capture this in three locations. One is at home, the second one is on the subway, and the final location is by Second Avenue. When they encounter one another the lightness will increase and a lovely romantic mellow melody will play. Both characters I’ll be wearing masks that way it is more relatable to the viewers.
I hope everything end up working out for me on this assignment because my video will be a pleasure to watch. The only thing that I am having trouble with deciding on the songs I want to incorporate into the video as well as the time of day I want to shoot it and the facial expressions of the masks. I do not want the little things negatively affecting this assignment, which is why I am going about it so carefully. In the end I know this hard work will pay off.
